Omi arrived Sunday night and we were all glad the weather was nice for her travels. On Monday, Omi had a chance to spend time with just Dylan while I took Ava to school for a couple hours, went to the store, took Marley to the vet and went for a run. Wow that was a lot in one day... thanks Omi. Then Ava came home around noon and I noticed that what I thought was a small spider bite or irritation from wearing her tutu all Christmas morning, wasn't getting any better and actually looked worse so we headed off to the pediatrician. It turned out that Ava had MRSA (a type of staph infection) so I'm soooo glad we went to the doctor (she's much better now). Then Simon came home early so we could do Christmas with Omi. We had a fun evening opening lots of presents again :), and then we ate a quick Christmas dinner and tried to head out the door to go to the Denver Zoo Lights. We arrived at the zoo only to find an extremely long line of cars so we made the decision to turn around. Heading home was a good move because both kids suddenly broke down and we were all glad to be home to put everyone to bed. On Tuesday, Omi took Ava and Tyshaun (Omi drove out with some friends and Tyshaun played with us Tuesday while the rest went skiing) to the Children's Museum and Wednesday Omi took Ava to the Zoo and of course Ava enjoyed doing both. I was so happy that Dylan rolled over from his tummy to his back while Omi was out visiting so she could help cheer him on. Dylan's now been rolling over more and more and looks to be getting ready to roll from his back to his tummy. On New Year's Eve Simon ran in a 5k race and then we all went out for dinner. Sadly, Omi then headed back to Iowa on Thursday morning. We already miss her.
