The First Nine Months of The Year Went Fast

September came so fast and suddenly nine months of the year have come and gone. With each year going by faster the kids are now just so grown up and getting to do such big kid things like...

 The girls had such great seat and had so much fun at their first real concert.

With September upon us it's now time to cheer on our Broncos!

 A new first for our kids this year was starting up cross country as members of the Castle Rock Kokopelli team. 

 Their first meet was on September 19th in Parker. 

 We joined the season right when it started so the kids didn't have time to attend practice before their first meet and they...

 ...both did amazing and...

...worked so hard. Great job Dylan and Ava. Right after their meet the kids had to change in the car as we then raced to Dylan's 7th birthday party at Dart Warz.

 I was worried that Dart Warz would keep the kids entertained for 1.5 hours but,...

 ...it was amazing how they kept the games going and how much fun the kids all had. 

 I was so thankful to have Ava and Kate's help at the party.

 Happy happy birthday to my amazing, entertaining, funny Dylan. I can't believe he's already 7!

 The next morning, Sunday the 20th, Ava and I ran in the Hop, Skip and Jump 5k which was put on at the Children's Museum. I was so proud of how Ava who ran a PR of 24:26 and I ran a 19:34 which was pretty good for me as well. Someone captured this great picture of Ava and I, after Ava got her award for placing 3rd overall female.

 A beautiful day at the Children's Museum and the best part of all was that...

 ...Dylan and Ava were able to play at the new outdoor exhibit with an interactive river...

 ...mini zip line and much, much mored

 Dylan couldn't get enough of building in the river.

He could have stayed for hours but, we finally had to leave and head out for a late brunch at the Original Pancake House.

September 24th arrived and it was time to wish Dylan a happy birthday on his actual birthday. 

His choice for dinner was Big Bills with Dairy Queen to follow and then it was back home for presents.

 Saturday, September 26th I flew out early in the morning to Reno, NV where I met Lauren and Joe in the airport and then we drove out to Lake Tahoe to celebrate...

 ...our dearest friend Kenna and her fiancé's wedding. Simon was suppose to join me but, he ended up having too many races to time so it wasn't possible for him to leave town.

Of course the month wouldn't be complete without touching on basketball. September was the start of Ava's 3v3 basketball season. We all love the 3v3 season because it's such a fast game where the girls get to handle the ball a lot and Ava especially played so amazingly well and really stepped up her game with lots of points, driving to the hoop, three pointers, solid defense and played strong the entire game.
