On Tuesday Ava helped me bake a little over 5 dozen cookies for her school's cookie decorating party on Wednesday. It took a lot longer to bake 5 dozen this year than it did last year with all of Ava's enthusiasm to help with everything and having to stop to feed Dylan made for one batch of slightly over done cookies, but we had a lot of fun! Ava enjoyed using all the different cookie cutters and loved playing in all the flour the best. Dylan seemed to just enjoy his Aquarium Bouncer more than watching Ava and mom bake. By the looks of this picture I'd say I'm not setting a very good example seeing that both my kids are on the kitchen counter. Good thing I had a close eye on both of them :). Then on Wednesday Ava and all her classmates decorated all the yummy cookies. My favorite part was yet again seeing how much the kids are growing up. Last year, they had no idea what they were doing and just enjoyed eating everything in front of them and this year the kids jumped right into decorating the cookies and even though there was some licks of frosting and bites of sprinkles, they were all really focused on decorating their cookies.
