For Ava's 9th birthday party she really wanted a Go-Kart place however, it was hard to find somewhere that all of Ava's friends could meet the height requirement but, that were also still fast enough for Ava to get the thrill she was seeking. We finally found the best place and on Sunday, July 13th, Ava and seven of her best friends, as well as Dylan and his best friend Sasha, were chaperoned by Simon and me while we headed up north to Adventure Golf and Raceway for a day of fun.
The girls started off with an exciting and funny game of adventurous mini-golf.
Dylan, Sasha, Simon and I tagged behind and had lots of our own fun too.
Next was the super fun and speedy bumper cars.
The girls road the bumper cars as many times as they could in between golfing and go-karting.
Dylan and Sasha were just about the cutest on the bumper cars. They were so excited that they could drive the bumper cars by themselves.
Last but, not least our thrill-seeking Ava was so very excited to drive the go-karts.
Dylan and Sasha had to ride with and adult but, still had just as much fun.
The eight girls had a blast on the track all to themselves for three different races.
They enjoyed a little friendly competition too.
After a day of adventure it was time for pizza and ice-cream cake. Ava of course went with a girly basketball theme.
Happy, happy 9th birthday to my...
...sweet, kind, smart, beautiful, thoughtful, Ava. So glad you had a fun party with all your friends.
On Wednesday, July 16th we celebrated Ava's birthday by going out to her place of choice for dinner and she chose the delicious Yard House. Such a great choice with yummy desserts too. After we came home, it was time for presents. I loved Ava's reaction to Dylan's thoughtful gifts.
Ava got tons of fun gifts and all that she wanted but, the best reaction was how excited she was when...
...she opened her new official, WNBA basketball from her dad. Out of all the gifts I picked out for Ava, even the two she really wanted, she of course appreciated the one from her dad (who knows her the best), the most. We love you Ava.
