Getting to catch some spectacular fall colors this season while traveling to some very fun places was amazing.
Starting off with a girls weekend spent at a cabin in Grand Lake and getting to see three moose right outside my car was pretty special. This is the closest I've ever seen a moose. So amazing.

With no kids, no husbands, no laundry, no cooking, and no cleaning, the six of us ladies spent lots of time relaxing, drinking wine and catching up. But we also spent some time...
...going for a gorgeous morning run in Rocky Mountain National Park...
...catching scenic waterfall views and...
...and going for a little hike in the mountains (Jane was such a trooper being 8 months pregnant).
We made the most of being so close to Rocky Mountain National park and packed up some wine, apps and blanket for a little picnic before dinner and...
...getting this gorgeous photo was well worth the entertaining effort.
Since we were in Rocky Mountain we decided to see if we could catch some of the Elk bugling action. Seriously, we were so glad we did too because these elk were amazing to watch as the bull elks bugled to round up their cows and fight the other bulls to keep their cows. I will be bringing my kids back next season to catch all the action.

Up next it was time to head back to Luther. Wow, 10 years flew by fast. (All pictures below taken by Ekedahl photography. Thanks Kel for all the great pics)
Kel picked Simon and I up at the airport and then we headed out to State Street to catch the great sights of Madison, WI.
Yay, we also got to visit Kel and Chad's family cottage we hear so much about. It was so great to see and we loved their beautiful view right on the river.
Time for a gorgeous fall drive up to Decorah.

...the Heinker family were such amazing hosts for a very fun party after the reunion dinner.
Our visit back to Luther wouldn't have been complete without hitting up Roscoes!

Getting the chance to be away two weekends in a row wouldn't have been possible without my mom. Thanks again Mom, for all your help! The kids had so much fun with you and Grampy in the mountains.

Ha...the hotel was sooo bad! :) So great to see you, and so thankful that we all have been friends for over 10 years! :)
That moose was HUGE! We loved having you here, and can't wait for when we can all have a reunion once again. Let's not wait 10 years, again, though!
