Wow! What a full weekend we had starting with a Friday night football game.
Ava's Brownie troop headed to a football game to earn one of their community badges. They had such a blast and screamed and cheered the entire first half and didn't watch a single bit of the game. So cute.
Dylan and his buddy Nick however, did a great job cheering too but, they actually seemed to be paying more attention to the football game.
The next morning Simon and I were up at 5:30 AM to run the Denver Rock'n Roll half marathon. We both ran great and better than expected. Simon crushed the half marathon with a 1:18:46 running an awesome PR and I ran a PR for my Colorado half's of 1:25:47 and placing 10th overall for the women.
We arrived back home at 9:20 AM just after the kids had woken up which made them upset because they wanted more time to play with their favorite babysitter. Sorry kids but, no time to play. We quickly showered up for Simon to then leave and head out to time another race while the kids and I headed off to Ava's soccer game. Phew... we made it.
The girls had a great game. Here they are cooling each other off after another warm Fall day. After the game we were home for a late lunch and then it was time to clean the house, wrap birthday presents, and pack goody bags for Dylan's birthday party!
Sunday Dylan, woke up ready to celebrate his 4th birthday at Monkey Bizness with 12 of his friends and big sister!
...big hungry appetites for some lunch and delicious...
...donuts!! No cake for this little man. He's a donut lover.
Glad you had such a fun party with your friends buddy! We love you.
Soon after party #1 it was time for Sharona and Grampy to arrive for party #2.
Birthday present opening lead to lots of outdoor play time to test out Dylan's new Grave Digger remote control monster truck. Dylan is a huge fan of Grave Digger and remote controls. Here's Simon giving Dylan some tips on driving his new monster truck that goes up to 30 MPH... seriously. I'm starting to wonder who the gift was really for. ;)
Dylan also loved his new Razor scooter and...
... Lightning McQueen remote control that was much more his speed.
Here's Simon jumping Grave Digger off a ramp that Grampy made and...
... then here's Grampy jumping Grave Digger off the ramp and then over a lawn chair. So fun but, I'm thinking Dylan's going to need to practice in a big open field first before he tries any tricks.
Dylan's choice for dinner was Pizza Doodle where the kids get to make their own pizzas. Such concentration.
Good choice for dinner Dylan. Yum.
You can never blow out too many candles in one day.
Happy happy birthday a day early Dylan! I can't believe my baby will be 4 years old tomorrow on the 24th.
