Friday night the kids and I headed up to the mountains to stay with Grampy and Sharona so that we could wake up on Saturday and head to Georgetown for a ride on the train. The timing happened to work out perfect so that when we arrived on Friday night the kids headed straight for Grampy and Sharona to be pushed on their favorite swings followed by a walk around the loop and thus didn't seem to care that I then headed out for a drink with friends who I haven't seen in a very, very long time. It was perfect for all!
Saturday came and it was time for the train.

Waiting for the train to arrive.

Thanks Sharona for the fun idea for a train ride.

What a beautiful day for a ride through the mountains.

Look how high up we are with such great views.

Hello Georgetown Loop.

Hang on to your hats we're picking up speed to get up the hill.

On the way back we sat right behind the steam engine which got a little loud for Dylan and it really seemed to bother him because he kept covering his ears. After the next two nights of restless sleep and today's appointment with the pediatrician we now realize sitting right next to the steam engine whistle didn't help Dylan's infected ears feel very well. Hopefully, his two antibiotics will heal his ear infection quickly.
We sure had a fun time on the train. It was great to be in mountains on a beautiful day and the train ride was the perfect amount of time for the kids.
