Something to Celebrate

We have had so much to celebrate in the last few weeks from Mother's Day, to moving into our new house on May 14th, to the start of my new job, and to my almost 30th Birthday. We've been loving all the new changes in this new chapter of our lives and the kids seem overwhelming happy about all their new play spaces in our new home. I'd have to say, by far, these have been the craziest last few weeks of my life (hence the lack of blog posts) and with, of course, a little drama and a meltdown from mom, but over all we've been having fun and enjoying the exciting new changes. Here's what we've been celebrating... ...Mother's Day weekend and lots of packing... ...celebrating our friendships in our old neighborhood and with the kids friends from their old daycare. Although, we know we'll stay in touch it's still so sad to be moving far away from them......celebrating my 30th (yuck) Birthday early while Grampy and Sharona were in town over the weekend to watch the kids so that Simon and I could go out with friends... ...more birthday celebration with the family...

...thank you Ava and Sharona for making me a yummy rice crispy cake (my favorite)...

...celebrating the helpful hands from Grampy and Sharona with the new move. Grampy and Sharona were very helpful this weekend with all the unpacking, trips to Home Depot and many little projects around the house. Here's Grampy helping Simon figure out how to take apart, remove and re-landscape the waterfall and goldfish pond in the backyard. Although it may look pretty, the whole waterfall and pond full of water/algae/goldfish is too much of safety concern for our youngsters and we'd rather just have more grass for the kids to run around on...

...and last but not least, more celebrating and lots of laughter from all the new space the kids have to play and wrestle around in. It's been SO nice to sit and laugh with the kids and not feel so busy and rushed packing, moving and starting a new job while still working my old job for 1.5 weeks.

We have some projects ahead of us in our new home since it's an older house, BUT we're so happy with our new neighborhood and all the new space to spread out in. We're settling in and can't wait for more family and friends to come visit us.
