...rang in the New Year with three of her best friends (and Ella's sister and friends) for their 2nd annual New Year's party and then the next morning she had to get up extremely early because we were heading to the mountains.
The kids and I were really hoping to get some ski time in during December but, life was way too busy, as usual, so we were so excited to finally squeeze in a ski day on New Years day right before heading out to Mexico the next morning.
It was a spontaneous moment of deciding to fit in a ski day since 1) we already had the day off of school and work and 2) all our packing for the trip was done, so we headed up the mountains. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to give my mom enough warning for her to be able to join us but, we were so glad Grampy was able to ski with us on a cold, but wonderful day on the slopes.
