Ava and Dylan were both enjoying reading old blog books tonight before going to bed which made me realize that I have put off way too long on not updating our family blog. Thus, starting tonight, I hope I can finish one post a night until I'm all caught up on posts from December of 2014 through April of 2015.
After a fun packed weekend of cutting down our Christmas tree in the mountains we came home from our Thanksgiving family weekend and excitedly put up our Charlie Brown tree.
The ornaments kept ending up in new places this year as Ava and Dylan found it fun to play pretend with the ornaments (the breakable ones and all) and then they'ed put them back on the tree in different places. Luckily, only one ornament broke through out all the many afternoons of playing.
For Christmas 2014 our thoughtful Dylan made and wrapped 17 gifts for the whole family including gifts for Marley and the fish too (not sure how they'll unwrap the gifts but, still so thoughtful and sweet).
Ava and her Girl Scout troop participated in their annual visit to the Libby Bortz Center for Christmas caroling.
Annual gingerbread making was a great success. Always a fun craft with lots of hard work put in by the kiddos.
Squeezing in some basketball games before the Christmas holiday.
Ava and Dylan watching a 3D IMAX at the Science Museum during the holiday break with Dad and Omi.
It was hard to fit in skating this year but, we just had to go skate at the cube and see all the beautiful lights plus enjoy...
...time together and...
...practice our skating moves and of course...
...visit Santa at The Streets of Southglenn.
Next it was time for Christmas Eve dinner with all of us, Omi and my parents came down for the holiday. Followed then by cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
Marley helping out on Christmas morning...
...she didn't want to miss any of the excitment.
One lucky and very happy girl with her new laptop!
Family time.
A wonderful Christmas morning followed by...
...playtime with new toys and...
...a little Xbox Connect family-friendly competition.
Catch Phrase for the girls and...
...football and race car driving for the boys.
Such a wonderful holiday time with my family.
Marley checking out Ava's new laptop. The best of buddies.
Dylan warming up with hot chocolate and a warm bath after lots of playtime in the snow.
