Halloween Scares and More Racing Fun

Friday, October 25, 2013, he headed to one very spooky night at...
...the Stockton Stables for the annual Hunted Hayride. We had to skip wearing costumes this year as we were rushing after basketball practice but, we had just as much fun and we were...
...just as scared as last year.
Dylan was definitely more scared this year (in a fun way...we think) and hid behind Ava and Simon through all the..

...loud gun shots and scary zombies.
Such a fun and spooky night.
Up next was another spooky night at Hoofin' It Through the Hollows 5K.
Ava was ready to run her 2nd 5K that Dad was timing but, first up it was...
...Dylan's turn to run the little kids race.
Such a beautiful Fall night for...
..racing in costumes.
This year Dylan went as Captain Rex from Star Wars while Ava wore her monster costume from last year because it was easier to run in and unfortunately, we also had to re-order her Padme costume for a new size.
Lining up for the costume contest before the race.

Ava's friend Ava L. also met Ava at the race to run...
...the 5K together. Ava ran a 27:35 and had a great time running with her best friend while...

...Dylan had blast running through the spooky fog machine numerous times.
The next morning we were up and ready for some more racing fun at the Littleton Stride. Simon ran a great 10K race placing first overall.
After Dad's race it was time for...
...the kids to run their 1 mile fun run.
Ava had a fantastic race. She started out with a great pace and...
...then finished the last leg very strong and passing her competition to...
...then win 1st place overall out of about 50 kids running a pace of 7:16/mile. Nice work Ava!
Up next was Dylan finishing very strong with sister cheering him on.
Great race Dylan, even if you were feeling sick buddy. Such a hard working who loves competition. A jam-packed and fun filled weekend.
