Ava played hooky from school on Wednesday so that Dylan, Ava and I could head up to the mountains to go skiing with my family while my sister, brother-in-law and niece and nephew were in town.
Up next it was time for Ava's first soccer game of the year on Saturday. She was so very nervous for the game but, I thought Ava played great for her first game ever and after only just one practice.
Love your pink socks Ava... you're easy to spot on the field.
Dylan of course was thrilled to also kick around Ava's soccer ball while Ava played her game.
Next we made sure to celebrate St. Patrick's day with green attire, some new green race cars for the kids favorite race track, and a yummy corned beef and cabbage dinner.
From this photo I'd say Marley isn't as happy as Ava and Dylan are to wear green but, the kids just didn't want Marley to get pinched.
Last but, not least Ava had a mini-party with three of her girl friends on Saturday night.
Cheers to their own table at dinner and...
... the girls were very creative when leaving out fun letters to the St. Patrick's Day leprechaun and hoping he would leave them candy in their boots and...
...check out the cool fort the girls built to sleep in.
The girls of course stayed up very late to play in their fort and although Simon and I were pretty tired, we were glad they had so much fun. I'm not so sure we'll have a sleepover of four girls again any time soon (it was a lot of work) so we'll probably just stick to having one friend at a time for awhile. Hopefully Ava will be OK with this after getting her fill from her mini-party this weekend.
