We had a fantastic Christmas with Omi and a fun visit to the mountains to see family and friends.

The kids were worried they'd hear Santa on Christmas Eve so our great idea of bringing a mattress into our room for them to sleep with us turned horrible because the kids didn't fall asleep until 11 pm and were up bright and early Christmas morning. Maybe they were just too excited for Santa to come.

After a wonderful Christmas at home we headed up to the mountains to spend some time with more family on Monday.

Simon, Omi and the kids headed to the amazing Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I'm not a huge zoo person, but I love this zoo.

Another wonderful visit with Omi. We're always so thankful when she comes to visit us and we love getting to celebrate Christmas together. Thanks again, Omi for coming to CO and thank you for all your generous help and for spending such quality time with the kids. We loved having you here for 9 days and we can't believe how fast the time went by. My friends always say "really 9 days with your mother-in-law" and I'm lucky I get to respond with "yep, it's easy. She's wonderful, helpful, easy going and we love her."

Yay for seeing Shane and Sean and the kids, and for having such a great time with Cathy! Looks like you definitely maxed every minute to make the most of seeing everyone! :)
