Very Active Weekend

Friday started off with the kids' swim shows during the day where parents could come to watch their kids swim and see the progress they have made over the last couple weeks.
Dylan's still seems to really love Red Light/Green Light because that's when he's allowed to kick and splash in the pool......and look who's doing so well with his front floats and...
...back floats......and practicing on his own doing summersaults under the water. Can you spot Dylan under the water? Can you tell Dylan, our little fish, loves getting to swim everyday!Next it was Ava and her classes turn to present their pirate, choreographed swim show. Simon and I were very proud of Ava with how well she was swimming. Here are two videos for her grandparents to watch to see how awesome she's doing.

With the first video you'll want to stop watching right after Ava finishes swimming and reaches the wall. My video skills aren't that great so you can't really see the whole choreographed show especially since I focused in on Ava. This first video shows Ava quickly diving in (I was late to hit record) and then swimming freestyle, but I ended up stopping the video because Ava was just waiting for the other kids to finish their part in the show. The second video records the rest of the show.

Smile of success......and yummy root beer floats to follow.Saturday morning Ava went to her friends super fun "scientific" birthday party (what a great idea) and after...
...we headed to the park for another great bike ride......and this time I was finally able to convince Ava to ride on her new, bigger bike. Her blue bike is just way to small for her and is ready to be handed down to Dylan, but Ava's so comfortable riding her blue bike with no training wheels so it's been hard to get her to switch to her new bike, but she did great.Saturday night the kids were super excited when I told them to pack their sleeping bags as we were heading over to the Ward's house for a play date with Spencer, William, and Andrew, while Liz and I went out to a concert at Red Rocks. This is a horrible picture (one more reason I need a new phone), but Liz and I really had a fun night out. On Sunday morning the kids sure had a lot to talk about from their fun night of a nature walk, seeing the horses and deer, a yummy dinner, playing in the tunnels and sleeping in their sleeping bags. Thanks Adam for cooking dinner for and playing with 5 kids. What a handful. On Sunday we walked to our favorite ice cream shop to cool off from the heat and later it was back home for, of course, lots of trampoline jumping!
