Today is Marley's 8th birthday.
Ava and Dylan were so excited to wish Marley a happy birthday this morning by giving her tons of hugs and kisses. After summer camp Ava made sure we all sang Happy Birthday to Marley several times and after bath it was time for Marley to open her gifts from the kids. They had picked out many yummy dog treats and bones from Whole Foods.
Next they made sure to read Marley a bed time story and Ava picked her "Marley and Me" book to read which is all about Ava and Marley.It's hard to believe that is has been 7 years and 10 months since Simon and I brought Marley home to live with us. I must say we really do have one of the best dogs in the world.
Catching up on this past weekend... Ava had another birthday party to go to for one of her buddies from when we lived up in the Highlands. Ava was really looking forward to seeing Jack and had a great time at the party too.
It was a surprise party so that was exciting to watch and when Jack saw Ava he gave her a great big hug which put a huge smile on Ava's face.
While the big kids played in all the jumpy castles, Dylan was having fun in the arcade area.
Ahhh... so cute to see these three buddies back together. Alex, Jack and Ava were in daycare together since they were all 6 months old up until they graduated preschool together last summer at 5 years old. We miss them both, so it's always fun when we have get-togethers with them.
Last, but not least, this weekend Ava received an early birthday present of getting her ears pierced. She was super excited and also very brave. One more step of our little girl growing up way fast.
