Saturday the 18th Santa showed up in our driveway delivering two gifts to Ava and Dylan that mom had given to Santa the night before. The kids were so excited they ran outside in their PJ's with no shoes on.Early morning on Thursday the 23rd Omi arrived in Colorado and we were very excited to see her. Later that night Sharona and Grampa arrived from the mountains and we were very excited to see them as well. With our house now full of family and love we were ready for the holidays to begin.
Ava beat Sharona, Omi and me twice in Rummikub. Nice job Ava!Omi, Sharona and Ava later headed out for church for Christmas Eve service while I finished getting dinner ready and the dads gave Dylan a bath.
Cheers to Christmas Eve dinner!
After dinner we took the grandparents to our favorite ice cream shop and then drove them around to see the best of the best Christmas lights.

Dylan had enough fun for one day and was off to bed for Santa to come while...
...Ava sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn...
...and set out cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.
The kids were all tucked in bed while Santa and helpers went to work getting Christmas setup.
Yeah! Santa came.
The kids enjoyed playing with their toys in between all the opening of presents so we had to break for breakfast.
You can't tell from the photo that Dylan was sick but, he managed to muster up energy to motor around all the mess.

Dylan and I don't just look tired in this photo but, we feel pretty tired too. I was up with Dylan until 3 AM on Christmas Eve because the poor little guy was sick and coughing . We both went down for naps after Christmas.
We had two nice visits from my Aunt Cindy (my mom's sister) while she was in Colorado with friends for Christmas. We were so thankful she spent some time with all of us.
Cheers to another great dinner with family on Christmas night. 
We had to double check the kids sparkling apple cider for the label that read "contains no alcohol" because Dylan seemed a little too cheery by his third glass in their little plastic wine glasses. Cheers.
Time to relax the day after a big Christmas...

Yippi!!! We FINALLY got some snow and the kids finally got the chance to wear their snow pants and snow boots. Ava and Dylan got some sledding in while waiting for their cousin Riley to arrive.
Yeah! Cousin Riley, my sister Shane, brother-in-law Sean and my parents came to spend New Years with us.
The kids had so much fun playing with Riley, running and screaming around the house, and splashing in the bath tub together. Thanks for coming to see us on New Years Eve.
On New Years day we went sledding again but, their wasn't as much snow on the big hill as we were hoping for.
We still had fun breaking in the new sledding tubes even with the little snow we had.
Happy New Year from our Karaoke crew! They're both loving Ava's new gift from Aunt Shane and Uncle Sean (even mom and dad have enjoyed singing a few of our own favorite songs too). :)

Wow! What a great holiday you all had. I love that Santa came to your house! And Ava is mighty good at taking pictures...impressive! Looks like a great time....the kids are so cute singing at the end!

Super fun holiday you guys had! I was laughing at the picture of Dylan drinking the cider:) Pretty funny that you had to second guess the bottle! What a fun kid.
