Fantasitc Halloween and Fabulous Weather

We had a perfect weekend of great weather for Halloween and the kids just had a blast with all their Halloween fun.Thursday after school Dylan had his Halloween party at school. He spent more time eating all the treats while Ava was careful to take her time decorating before eating.
You wouldn't guess it by this photo (evening parties = possible meltdowns), but this is Dylan's favorite teacher, Ms. Caitlin. She also painted Ava's face at Dylan's party.
On Friday it was Ava's turn for her Halloween party and parade at school. She was so very excited to wear her costume to school and even insisted on wearing her wings on the bus.
I was able to join Ava at school to help with all the fun Halloween games they played like musical chairs, pin the nose on the pumpkin, bone toss, and much more.
Saturday was gorgeous so we went to the track for some exercise and family time. Ready, set, go...
... you can catch them Dylan! Nice job, buddy.
Yay! It was finally time for Halloween. We went over to Liz, Adam and Williams house for some Halloween fun and trick-or-treating. We really just had such a great night. Thanks Liz, Adam and William.
The kids had a blast going from door-to-door and Liz and Adam's neighbors went all out with their decorations. We were worried that Ava was going to be sad to not trick-or-treat with her friends in our own neighborhood, but we left some candy out on our door step and she didn't seem to mind at all going somewhere else. She loves hanging out with William so it was perfect.
Dylan did his best to keep up with the big kids and insisted on holding his very heavy, candy filled pumpkin. He was cracking me up all night long with his dragon head and not being able to see very well. He was super cute saying "trick-or-treat" and "thank you" at each door. He received a lot of "oh, you're so cute."
After lots of fun outside we came in for pizza and the kids ran around playing with excitement from a very fun night out. Ava's favorite part of the night was waiting for the door bell to ring to hand out candy.
"Where did all the trick-or-treaters go. I guess it's all over." Happy Halloween.

I love the costumes you guys! That butterfly face paint was so cute! Looks like you all had tons of fun. Enjoy New York! I can't wait to hear all about it.

Sounds like a great time! Dylan and Mya sound a lot alike these days just trying to keep up with the big kids!
