Easter Weekend

Easter weekend the kids woke up Saturday morning ready to decorate Easter eggs in their PJ's.
They both finished a dozen decorated eggs before getting ready for their soccer games. Great work on the eggs guys!
Up first was Dylan's game. Dylan is such a fun little soccer player to watch.
He's a very hard player and has made several goals already this season.
Dylan has also easily made many new friends with his social personality and has...
...really enjoyed being in a competitive sport.
After Dylan's game, Ava was up next.
Ava played exceptionally hard in her soccer game and...
...had four great opportunities to score goals but...
 ...the other team was tough.
We were just very proud of her strong effort and determination.
Easter Sunday we all woke up early and headed to Westminster for a half marathon Simon was timing and that I was then able to race in because Simon could watch the kids while timing. After the half marathon the kids both ran in a mile race and then after their race they headed out for...
 ...a little Easter egg hunt.
Saturday night, I made sure to hid all the kids Easter eggs and presents so that once we arrived home from the race the kids were then able to came home and eagerly run around both inside and outside for a huge Easter egg hunt.

Simon and I love this picture because I some how captured the moment when 1) Dylan realized he missed a very easily hidden egg on the stairs from the basement up to the main floor and 2) Ava getting a kick out of it and then quickly grabbing the egg Dylan missed.

A beautiful day for an egg hunt.

Marley always keeping a close eye on what her pals are up to.
After the hunt it was time to check out what the kids found as well as time to change and head to brunch at...
...our favorite breakfast place, The Original Pancake House.
Ava twirling in her new Easter dress from Omi.
A busy but very fun Easter weekend.
