Lake Powell 2012

Ouch, a post with 44 pictures. But, considering I had 300 to choose from, 44 doesn't seem so bad. 

 We headed west after a 4th of July 5k and stayed overnight in Grand Junction, woke up early on the 5th and got to the lake at a great time. We loaded up the boats and headed up river to find our campsite.

 Dylan thinks he's driving the houseboat from the top deck but, luckily the captain is down below doing all the real steering.

 We were all so glad Omi could join us in Lake Powell.

 Yay, we found a great campsite, parked the boat and then it was time to cool off.

 Even Dad was ready for some cooling off fun.

 Addy was a great protector of the kids all week. She was always right there in the water with the kids making sure they were OK.

 Dylan was pretty cute carrying around his toiletry bag all vacation and it seemed to travel with us on all boat outings. His bag was not only filled with his toothbrush and toothpaste but, he also made sure to bring along things like his vicks vabor rub in case he caught a cold, his green dinosaurs, 6 or 7 chap sticks and much, much more. So cute.

 It was hot but, we just had to have at least one campfire to roast marshmallows for the kiddos.

I just love water skiing especially in Lake Powell. Thanks dad for being so willing to pull me skiing every single day. I just wish I owned my own boat so I could practice more often than just one vacation every three years. Maybe then I could become... 

 ...as good of a skier as my dad but...

 ...I don't think I'll be practicing this move any time soon.
